For the past 7+ years, Cazoomi has continually strived in growing our subscriber base as a software as a service company. Over the past year, Cazoomi has grown bigger than ever. With our growing number of staff and subscriber base, 2017 has been both a challenging and awesome year for us dealing with our growth.
2017: A Year of Transitions
In 2017, Cazoomi unveiled a brand new, multi-quarter marketing campaign initiative for SyncApps with G2 Crowd. We officially consolidated our office locations to Cagayan de Oro from Luzon and San Francisco as well as Indonesia, with our newly opened up our Amsterdam location. We even had 3 new lives created among our team members! More on that later this month in our blog.
Challenges filled each and every transition we encountered in 2017. From modifying our subscription-based salary model for all new hires to be more competitive with OFWs and Manila-based businesses, to improving our robust 24/7 Follow-the-Sun support model to better support our worldwide subscriber base. We are super excited about the exciting opportunities that await us this 2018.
1st Year-end Party
To celebrate a year of work hard, play hard, we decided to throw a year-end party for the first time in Cagayan de Oro. Each member was hands-on in preparing and organizing the party, from decorations to prizes, everyone chipped in to make this a fabulous event.
On the day of our party, a tragic incident caused by the Tropical Storm Vinta brought “Atlantis” right to us. Three of our workspaces were totally submerged in the fast moving flash flood on the early morning of December 22. This wreaked havoc at Cazoomi as our staff equipment and cool living pads became one with the Cagayan de Oro River. OMG. We even had our top support rep stranded in Cebu.
Locally here in CDO we quickly were going about helping our neighbors and staff get out of this danger zone which was a memorable experience that we will never forget. However, our team was determined to not let this incident stop our team from having a blast on our year-end party as we pushed forward with our plans.
Our Star Magic Ball-themed party was eventually moved to December 30th, after all the flood drama had somewhat subsided. All Cazoomi staff, as well as our invited families, threw ourselves into glamorous gowns and tuxedos. Games and raffle prizes lit up the event as all of us were engaged in participating. But the most important part of the evening was our personal year-in review. We all hopped on stage and each of us summed up our 2017 experience and our 2018 goals.
Heading into 2018
Our team is looking forward to what 2018 has in store for our subscribers and our growing company. We have two rising and thriving local start-ups which make up our Health and Wellness and Marketing for our company, Cazoomi. Fit to Fight has had a wonderful start and always buzzing around town with their intense workout services and awesome apparel. DigiGirls has had a fabulous year as they have started expanding nationwide, rising as women entrepreneurs, providing subscription-based digital marketing.
