Integration with NetSuite to various Marketing Automation platforms has been a huge part of our Cazoomi business model since we first began back in 2009.  One of the leading platforms SyncApps integrates NetSuite to is MailChimp.

There are now 3 selectable options today in SyncApps to choose from to determine which records from NetSuite will sync over to MailChimp:

1) Sync All Contacts – All Contacts will be synced to a MailChimp Master List.

2) Sync Specific NetSuite Subscriptions – Each selected NetSuite subscription will be synced to a MailChimp Group.  (sync to MailChimp Lists option available upon request – see more on this option below)

3) Sync Specific NetSuite Saved Searches – Using saved searches for Customer or Contact from NetSuite will expose fields in Field Mapping step for each.  More than one saved search can be specified.  Supported search record types are Contact and Customer.  Each saved search will be synced to a MailChimp Group within the specified Master List.

The added ability to sync not just NetSuite Saved Searches to MailChimp but also NetSuite Subscriptions is a recently rolled out enhancement for our MailChimp for NetSuite CRM integration.  Syncing NetSuite Subscriptions to your Marketing Automation Groups or Lists will now allow any unsubscribe from a MailChimp Group or List to be removed as a subscriber from the NetSuite subscription yet NetSuite’s Global subscription status is not taken into account nor affected in any way.

NetSuite to MailChimp - NetSuite Subscriptions enhancement

But before this enhancement was planned and rolled out, this idea was brought up by one of our SyncApps subscribers as a community conversation.  Here’s a quick recall.

Mapping fields from NetSuite to MailChimp by adding subscription and subscription status on the NetSuite side was needed, as shown in a screenshot and field type below.

Do you need to use NetSuite Subscriptions per MailChimp Lists, not Groups, to keep track of your subscribers in MailChimp?

With an additional enhancement we also have a customization our team can turn on if you would like to sync NetSuite Subscriptions directly to your Marketing Automation Lists.  This feature is now available in Enterprise SyncApps Plans upon request or on any Trial of SyncApps.

Marketing Automation Scenario(s) in which this customization feature really works well:

Step 1: The Enterprise client sets up 10 Sync Profiles, sets each to sync a NetSuite Subscription to a MailChimp Master List

Step 2: A Subscriber in MailChimp unsubscribes from MailChimp Master List #3 thus opt-outs their record in NetSuite for this Subscription #3 yet the Customer/Contact is NOT unsubscribed and synced to NetSuite’s Global Opt-Out as they are still Opted in to 9 MailChimp Lists

If needing the customization for this service turned on please get in touch with our Support team at [email protected] by providing your SyncApps Account name, email or URL to enable this feature in your trial or full account today.

Here’s a quick setup on how this new enhancement works.  View it here.
