The tri-pronged approach suggested by Encore.org focuses on culture, institutions, and leaders — a trifecta that can help change mentalities and create a better society for everyone.

Such an important mission needs to be made popular to…everyone. People who are over 50 now represent just a small part of Encore.org’s audience. 

The organization needs to reach younger people, too, and increase their awareness of the need for a better future. 

For Encore.org to meet their goals and transform the society according to their forward-thinking vision, they have to rely on supporters.

And what better way to reach supporters and other stakeholders than via insight-based email campaigns?

Challenges

Segmentation is crucial for Encore.org’s marketing success. They need to make sure that the right message reaches the right people at the right time.

In order to do so, they have to match their CRM records to Mailchimp Audiences and Groups. 

The only problem?

Native integration between Salesforce and Mailchimp doesn’t support automated syncs between the two, nor syncing between Marketing Lists in Salesforce to multiple groups.

Solution

Encore.org contacted our customer support department to find a quicker way to sync Salesforce Marketing Lists to Mailchimp.

Our department offered them the solution and also helped them save a lot of time and hassle through the Sync Now option. This ensures that the changes made are correct and no address is lost or placed in the wrong group.

This is a quick overview of how Encore.org uses SyncApps by Cazoomi to put their marketing on auto-pilot:

Marketing List Package

  • Webhooks ( Update Profile form in Step 2 of the Sync Profile from Mailchimp)
  • Sync Scheduling Feature which automates their entire integration processes
  • Manage opt-outs from Mailchimp as well thanks to the bi-directional sync feature in our solution

Encore.org used the Marketing List Package to manage the CRM List(s) in tandem with Process Builder in Salesforce to add records to each List then segment each Marketing List(s) into Mailchimp Group(s) for easy Mailchimp Campaign target recipients.

Webhooks ( Update Profile form in Step 2 of the Sync Profile)

Encore.org is also using the Webhooks technology in Mailchimp with SyncApps so that they can use their Update Profile form in Mailchimp. This will give them the ability to update the records in Mailchimp then any updates from those records will be reflected Salesforce in realtime without ever running their integration.

Realtime data changes synced back to Salesforce get their team the information they need without any effort.

Sync Scheduling Feature

Each Sync Profile has its specific schedule to run the sync on each assigned Mailchimp Audience to match the Mailchimp Automations they have set up to build their brand.
